The third-generation Focus debuted globally on the C346 platform for the 2011 model year and reached the U.S. for 2012. In America it was sold as a sedan and five-door hatchback, with additional electrified and performance derivatives appearing during the lifecycle. This generation represented Ford’s global compact-car consolidation around a single architecture.
