1998–2003 ZX2 (CW27)
2 modifications · The ZX2 was the sporty two-door coupe derivative of the 1997 Escort platform, marketed separately in the U.S. from 1998. It shared its underlying architecture with the Escort sedan and wagon but was positioned as a distinct model with coupe-only styling and trim. Production continued through the 2003 model year.

1991–1996 North American Escort (Erika) facelift
10 modifications · For 1991, Ford gave the North American Escort a major redesign with rounded styling and a revised interior while keeping the same compact front-wheel-drive formula. The facelifted cars were sold in the U.S. as sedan and wagon models, with the hatchback body style dropped from the range. This phase ran through the 1996 model year.

1981–2002 North American Escort (Erika)
10 modifications · Ford launched the North American Escort for the 1981 model year as a compact front-wheel-drive replacement for the earlier U.S. Escort. The line included sedan, hatchback, and wagon body styles and became one of Ford’s core small-car offerings in the U.S. market. This first North American generation ended before the 1991 redesign.

1980–1990 Mk3 (Type 30)
8 modifications · The Mk3 Escort introduced Ford’s front-wheel-drive Escort family in Europe with a transverse-engine layout and a hatchback-led range. It was offered in multiple body styles, including three- and five-door hatchbacks and an estate, and it established the modern Escort nameplate architecture used through the 1980s. This generation was not sold in the United States as the Escort nameplate there followed a different model line.
