Ford Escort

Erika

Ford launched the North American Escort for the 1981 model year as a compact front-wheel-drive replacement for the earlier U.S. Escort. The line included sedan, hatchback, and wagon body styles and became one of Ford’s core small-car offerings in the U.S. market. This first North American generation ended before the 1991 redesign.
