Dodge Lancer
K-car platform
The first Dodge Lancer was introduced for 1985 as a compact four-door sedan based on Chrysler's K-car architecture. It was positioned as a more upscale Dodge compact and was sold in the United States through the 1989 model year. A convertible derivative was also offered for 1987, but the core Lancer sedan remained the main body style.
