BMW 2 Series

F22/F23

The first U.S.-market 2 Series arrived for 2014 as the F22 coupe and F23 convertible, replacing the 1 Series coupe and convertible in BMW’s compact rear-wheel-drive lineup. U.S. launch models included the 228i and M235i, with four-cylinder and six-cylinder power respectively. This phase established the 2 Series nameplate in the United States and ran through the 2016 model year before the 2017 update.
