The first-generation GLC-Class SUV replaced the GLK-Class and introduced Mercedes-Benz’s compact luxury crossover under the GLC name. In the U.S., it launched for 2016 as the GLC300 and later expanded to AMG and plug-in hybrid variants. This phase established the core GLC lineup before the 2020 facelift updated styling and equipment.
