Ford Aerostar Van
First generation
The original Ford Aerostar debuted for 1986 as Ford’s compact minivan, positioned below the full-size van lineup and engineered with a rear-wheel-drive layout. It was sold in the United States from launch and established the Aerostar nameplate as a family and passenger-cargo van. This initial phase ran through the 1989 model year before the facelifted version arrived for 1990.
