2020–2020 Eighth generation (GM Epsilon II) facelift

1 modification · Chevrolet refreshed the eighth-generation Impala for the 2020 model year with updated styling and equipment while retaining the same Epsilon II platform. This facelifted version was the final U.S.-market Impala and ended when Chevrolet discontinued the model after 2020. It marked the end of the Impala nameplate as a regular production sedan in the United States.

2014–2019 Eighth generation (GM Epsilon II)

3 modifications · The eighth-generation Chevrolet Impala debuted for 2014 as a much larger full-size sedan on GM’s Epsilon II architecture. It was sold in the U.S. as a mainstream passenger car and also spawned the Impala Limited fleet version from the previous generation. The standard Impala remained in production through 2019 before a facelifted 2020 model year.

2014–2016 Seventh generation fleet continuation (W-body)

3 modifications · The Impala Limited was a fleet-only continuation of the previous W-body Impala after the new 2014 model arrived. It was sold in the U.S. from 2014 through 2016 and kept the older body style in service for fleet buyers. Chevrolet ended Impala Limited production after the 2016 model year.

2012–2013 Seventh generation (W-body) facelift

1 modification · For 2012, Chevrolet updated the seventh-generation Impala with revised styling and trim while keeping the same W-body foundation. This facelifted version was sold in the U.S. through the 2013 model year. It served as the final retail-era Impala before the all-new 2014 redesign.

2006–2011 Seventh generation (W-body)

4 modifications · The seventh-generation Chevrolet Impala launched for 2006 on the W-body platform and continued the front-wheel-drive sedan formula in the U.S. market. It remained on sale through 2011 before a facelifted update carried the model into the 2012–2013 period. This generation also formed the basis for the later Impala Limited fleet model.

2000–2005 Sixth generation (W-body)

4 modifications · The sixth-generation Chevrolet Impala returned the nameplate to the U.S. market as a front-wheel-drive full-size sedan for 2000. It used GM’s W-body architecture and was sold through the 2005 model year. This generation established the modern Impala’s mainstream sedan role after the rear-wheel-drive Impala SS era ended.
