Chevrolet Impala
W-body
The sixth-generation Chevrolet Impala returned the nameplate to the U.S. market as a front-wheel-drive full-size sedan for 2000. It used GM’s W-body architecture and was sold through the 2005 model year. This generation established the modern Impala’s mainstream sedan role after the rear-wheel-drive Impala SS era ended.
