BMW X5
E53
The original BMW X5 E53 launched the brand’s first X model and established the X5 as a sport-oriented luxury SUV. U.S. sales began for the 2000 model year, with inline-six, V8, and later high-performance 4.6is and 4.8is variants offered during the generation. It remained on sale until the E70 replacement arrived.
