E31 facelift

The first BMW 8 Series was the E31, a V8- and V12-powered grand tourer introduced in Europe in 1989 and brought to the U.S. for the 1991 model year. It established the 8 Series nameplate with a low-slung two-door coupe body and a focus on high-speed touring. U.S. sales ended after the 1997 model year.
