E65/E66
The E65/E66 generation introduced BMW’s controversial Chris Bangle-era design and a major technology leap for the 7 Series. It debuted in the U.S. for the 2002 model year with the 745i and 745Li. This generation also brought the iDrive interface and a broader range of electronics and comfort features.
