2007–2009 C199 (C199) Roadster

1 modification · The SLR McLaren Roadster extended the model family with an open-top body while retaining the same underlying C199 platform and supercharged V8 powertrain. It preserved the SLR's long-hood proportions and carbon-fiber construction while adding a removable soft top and revised body structure. This was the final major production phase of the SLR family.

2006–2009 C199 (C199) 722 Edition

1 modification · The SLR McLaren 722 Edition was a more focused special version of the coupe, referencing Stirling Moss's 1955 Mille Miglia-winning car number 722. It used the same C199 base architecture but added performance and chassis changes along with unique visual details. It was a distinct limited-production phase within the SLR family rather than a separate body code.

2005–2009 C199 (C199)

1 modification · The original Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren debuted for 2005 as a carbon-fiber supercar developed with McLaren and powered by a supercharged V8. It established the SLR line as a limited-production grand tourer with distinctive front-mid-engine packaging and dramatic styling. This base phase ran before the later special-edition and open-top derivatives.
