R231

The R231 introduced a lighter aluminum-intensive SL with a new body and updated technology for the 2013 model year. It was sold in the United States as the SL550, SL63 AMG, SL65 AMG, and later SL400 and SL450. This generation ended before the all-new R232 arrived for 2022.
