W163

The original ML-Class W163 launched Mercedes-Benz into the modern luxury SUV segment and was sold in the United States from the 1998 model year. It introduced the ML320, later joined by V8-powered variants such as the ML430, ML500, and ML55 AMG. Production of the W163 ended after the 2005 model year in the U.S.
