2012–2015 W166 (W166)

5 modifications · The third-generation ML-Class W166 launched in the United States for the 2012 model year and continued the model’s role as Mercedes-Benz’s mainstream luxury SUV. U.S. offerings included ML350, ML350 Bluetec, ML550, ML63 AMG, ML400, and ML250 Bluetec variants depending on year. Mercedes-Benz ended ML-Class sales after the 2015 model year and renamed the vehicle GLE-Class for 2016.

2002–2011 W163 (W163) facelift

8 modifications · The facelifted W163 ML-Class updated the original SUV with revised styling and equipment while remaining on the same body code. In the United States, this phase covered the 2002 through 2005 model years and closed out the first-generation ML-Class. It remained the basis for the ML320, ML500, and ML55 AMG lineup before the W164 replacement arrived.

1998–2009 W163 (W163)

12 modifications · The original ML-Class W163 launched Mercedes-Benz into the modern luxury SUV segment and was sold in the United States from the 1998 model year. It introduced the ML320, later joined by V8-powered variants such as the ML430, ML500, and ML55 AMG. Production of the W163 ended after the 2005 model year in the U.S.
