X166 facelift
The facelifted X166 GLS arrived in the U.S. for the 2017 model year and continued through 2019. Mercedes updated the front and rear styling, interior technology, and model lineup while keeping the same underlying body code. This phase closed out the first-generation GLS before the all-new X167 model launched for 2020.
