2022–present 3rd generation (Z223)

1 modification · The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 4MATIC is the V12 flagship of the current W223-based Maybach sedan range. It is sold in the United States alongside the S 580 4MATIC and represents the highest-output Maybach sedan offered there. This generation is currently in production.

It launched in the U.S. as a new flagship trim emphasizing rear-seat luxury, advanced technology, and all-wheel drive. This generation remains in production in the U.S. market.

2018–2020 1st generation (W222) facelift

1 modification · The facelifted Mercedes-Maybach S 600 continued the W222-based Maybach sedan after the S-Class update, with revised styling and equipment. This phase remained on sale in the U.S. until the W222 Maybach range was replaced by the next-generation S-Class-based Maybach models.

1 modification · The Mercedes-Maybach S 650 became the V12 flagship of the W222-based Maybach lineup after the facelifted S-Class update. It was sold in the United States as the top sedan in the range and continued the modern Mercedes-Maybach formula of extended wheelbase luxury and rear-seat emphasis. This phase ended when the W222 Maybach generation was replaced by the next S-Class-based Maybach.

2017–2017 1st generation (A217)

1 modification · The Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet was a limited-production ultra-luxury convertible based on the S-Class cabriolet architecture. It was sold in the United States for the 2017 model year only and represented one of the rarest modern Maybach derivatives. Production was limited and the model did not continue beyond that single year.

2015–2017 1st generation (W222)

4 modifications · The Mercedes-Maybach S 600 marked the return of the Maybach name as a Mercedes-Benz sub-brand for the 2015 model year. In the U.S., it launched as the first Mercedes-Maybach variant of the W222 S-Class and established the modern Maybach formula of extended luxury and rear-seat comfort. It was later joined by additional U.S. Maybach derivatives, but this original S 600 phase ended before the W222 facelifted update.

2008–2012 1st generation (W240) facelift

2 modifications · The facelifted Maybach 57 introduced updated styling and equipment for the 2008 model year while retaining the W240 body code. It remained part of the U.S. market Maybach range until the line ended after 2012.

1 modification · The facelifted Maybach 62 carried the updated W240-based design from the 2008 model year through the end of the original Maybach line. It continued as the long-wheelbase U.S.-market flagship until production ceased after 2012.

2 modifications · The Maybach 57 was the shorter-wheelbase flagship sedan in the revived Maybach lineup, launched for the 2002 model year. It was sold in the United States as part of Maybach's ultra-luxury push and shared the brand's V12-powered, chauffeur-focused positioning. The model received a facelifted update for 2008 before ending production after the 2012 model year.

2 modifications · The Maybach 62 was the long-wheelbase flagship sedan of the revived Maybach brand, introduced alongside the 57 for the 2002 model year. It was sold in the United States and emphasized rear-seat luxury and extended cabin space. A facelifted version arrived for 2008, and the model ended after the 2012 model year.
