The second-generation CLS-Class moved to the C218 body code and debuted for the 2012 model year in the U.S. It continued the original CLS formula with a more modern shape and a broader U.S. lineup that included CLS550 and AMG CLS63 variants. This generation was replaced by the facelifted version for 2015.
