Mercedes-Benz CL-Class
C140
The first modern CL-Class generation debuted in 1998 as the Mercedes-Benz CL500 and CL600, using the C140 chassis as Mercedes' flagship luxury coupe. For the 2000 model year, the nameplate changed from Coupe/S-Class coupe usage to CL-Class in the U.S. market, while the same underlying generation continued. This generation received a facelift for 2003 and remained on sale in the U.S. through 2006.
