The Mercedes-Benz 260E was the six-cylinder W124 sedan offered in the U.S. as part of the early E-Class lineup. It used the 2.6-liter inline-six and sat below the larger 300E in the range. U.S. sales ran through the 1989 model year before the 1990 facelifted W124 lineup arrived without the 260E.
