2008–2012 KK (KK)

8 modifications · The second-generation Jeep Liberty launched for the 2008 model year with the KK body code and a more squared-off design than the original KJ. It continued as a U.S.-market Jeep SUV with 2WD and 4WD versions and remained on sale through the 2012 model year. The Liberty nameplate was discontinued after 2012.

2005–2007 KJ (KJ) facelift

3 modifications · Jeep updated the Liberty KJ for the 2005 model year with revised exterior styling and trim changes while keeping the same KJ body code. The facelifted KJ continued in the U.S. through the 2007 model year, after which the Liberty was redesigned for 2008. This phase included the later KJ variants such as Renegade and Limited trims.

2002–2004 KJ (KJ)

8 modifications · The first-generation Jeep Liberty debuted for the 2002 model year as Jeep’s compact SUV replacement for the Cherokee in North America. It used the KJ body code and was sold in the United States in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. This generation ran through the 2007 model year before being replaced by a redesigned Liberty for 2008.
