Ford Taurus

First generation

The original Ford Taurus debuted for 1986 as a front-wheel-drive midsize car that replaced the LTD and LTD Crown Victoria in Ford’s passenger-car lineup. It was offered as a sedan and wagon and helped define Ford’s aerodynamic design direction in the late 1980s. This first generation remained on sale in the United States through the 1991 model year.
