2022–2024 Second generation
4 modifications · The modern Ford Maverick returned for the 2022 model year as a compact unibody pickup based on Ford's small-truck architecture. It was launched for the U.S. market with front-wheel-drive hybrid and gasoline powertrains, plus available all-wheel drive. This generation revived the Maverick nameplate as an affordable, smaller pickup below the Ranger.

1970–1977 First generation facelift
5 modifications · The original Ford Maverick debuted for the 1970 model year as a compact rear-wheel-drive car positioned below the larger Ford intermediates. It was sold in the United States through the 1972 model year before a styling update for 1973. The model remained on sale in the U.S. until the 1977 model year, when it was replaced by Ford's newer compact offerings.
