1985–1986 Panther platform (D3) facelift
2 modifications · For 1985, the full-size Ford LTD received a facelift with revised front and rear styling while remaining on the Panther platform. The update kept the car in Ford’s full-size lineup alongside the Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis. This facelifted phase continued in the U.S. through 1986, after which the LTD name was retired on this body style.

1983–1986 Panther platform (D3)
5 modifications · The full-size Ford LTD launched for 1983 as Ford’s mainstream rear-wheel-drive full-size sedan on the Panther platform. It replaced the LTD II-era full-size Ford and shared its basic architecture with the Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis. This original phase was sold in the United States through 1984 before the 1985 styling update.
