1988–1991 First generation (Panther) facelift

1 modification · Ford updated the LTD Crown Victoria and Country Squire Wagon for 1988 with revised exterior styling while keeping the same Panther-platform underpinnings. The wagon retained its formal roofline and simulated wood trim, and the lineup remained on sale in the United States through 1991. This facelifted phase ended when Ford retired the LTD name and replaced the sedan with the Crown Victoria nameplate for 1992.

1983–1987 First generation (Panther)

7 modifications · The first LTD Crown Victoria and Country Squire Wagon launched for 1983 on Ford's Panther rear-wheel-drive full-size platform. It replaced the LTD as Ford's traditional body-on-frame full-size family car, with the Country Squire continuing as the woodgrain wagon derivative. This phase was sold in the United States and ran through the 1987 model year before a facelifted update arrived for 1988.
