2019–2024 Fifth generation (DT)

16 modifications · The fifth-generation Ram 2500 Pickup debuted for 2019 with a new heavy-duty platform, updated cab structure, and revised styling. It continues the Ram heavy-duty pickup line in the U.S. market alongside the 3500 and related chassis-cab models. This generation remains in production.

2013–2018 Fourth generation (DJ) facelift

26 modifications · A facelift for the fourth-generation Ram 2500 Pickup arrived for 2013, bringing updated exterior styling and revised interior details while retaining the same underlying heavy-duty platform. This phase was sold in the U.S. under the Ram brand name. It remained in production until the next full redesign for 2019.

2003–2013 Third generation (DH)

6 modifications · The third-generation Ram 2500 Pickup debuted for 2003 with a new body and updated chassis under Dodge’s Ram truck lineup. It continued as a U.S.-market heavy-duty pickup with expanded cab and powertrain offerings, including Cummins diesel variants. This generation ran through 2009 before the next redesign.

1998–2002 Second generation (DR) facelift

25 modifications · For 1998, Dodge updated the second-generation Ram 2500 Pickup with a facelift that refreshed the front-end styling and kept the same basic body structure. The U.S. market continued to receive the heavy-duty 2500 through the end of this generation’s run. This facelifted phase remained in production until the next redesign for 2002.

1994–1998 First generation (BR)

7 modifications · The first Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup appeared for the 1994 model year as part of the new Ram truck lineup that replaced the long-running D/W-series naming. It was sold in the United States as a heavy-duty full-size pickup with two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations. This generation established the rounded Ram styling theme that distinguished the truck from earlier Dodge pickups.
