2021–2021 T1XX (T1XX)
7 modifications · The current T1XX Suburban debuted for 2021 with a major redesign, including an independent rear suspension and a larger, more modern cabin. Chevrolet continues to sell it in the U.S. as 2WD and 4WD models, with trims ranging from LS and LT to Premier and High Country. This is the first Suburban generation to combine the latest chassis layout with the brand’s current full-size SUV design language.

2007–2020 GMT900 (GMT900)
13 modifications · The GMT900 Suburban debuted for 2007 with a cleaner exterior, revised interior, and updated mechanical package. In the U.S. it was sold as the Suburban 1500 through 2014, while the heavier-duty 2500 version was offered through 2013. This generation marked the final Suburban before the 2015 redesign and the later shift to the current naming and trim structure.

1992–2006 GMT400 (GMT400)
7 modifications · The GMT400 Suburban launched the modern rounded-body era for Chevrolet’s full-size SUV line in 1992, replacing the earlier square-body trucks. It was sold in the U.S. as both 1500 and 2500 series through the 1990s, with 4WD and 2WD variants depending on trim and year. This generation established the Suburban’s long-wheelbase family layout that continued into later redesigns.
