2017–2020 first generation (T300) facelift
6 modifications · For the 2017 model year, the Sonic received a mid-cycle refresh in the United States. The update brought revised exterior styling and interior/equipment changes while retaining the same T300 base architecture and body styles. This refreshed version remained on sale until Sonic production ended after the 2020 model year.

2013–2016 first generation RS (T300)
1 modification · The Sonic RS was introduced in the United States for the 2013 model year as the sportier hatchback derivative of the Sonic lineup. It used the same T300 foundation as the standard Sonic but added RS-specific appearance and performance-oriented trim. U.S. sales continued through the 2016 model year.

2012–2016 first generation (T300)
10 modifications · The first-generation Chevrolet Sonic debuted in the United States for the 2012 model year as a subcompact sedan and five-door hatchback. It replaced the Aveo in Chevrolet’s U.S. lineup and was built on GM’s Gamma II architecture. The Sonic was sold in the U.S. through the 2020 model year.
