For 2003, Chevrolet launched a redesigned Silverado 1500 on the GMT800 platform with updated styling and revised cab and bed offerings. This generation continued the Silverado’s role as Chevrolet’s core light-duty pickup in the U.S. market. It remained in production through the 2006 model year before a facelifted update arrived for 2007.
