The original Chevrolet Bolt EV debuted for 2017 as a compact five-door electric hatchback with an EPA-rated long driving range and front-wheel drive. It was Chevrolet’s first widely sold long-range EV in the U.S. market and established the Bolt nameplate as a mainstream battery-electric model.
