The facelifted BMW i8 coupe arrived for the 2018 model year with updated styling and revised model-year positioning. It continued the same plug-in hybrid drivetrain and LifeDrive carbon-fiber/aluminum construction as the original car. This updated coupe remained available in the United States through 2020.
