The E46 M3 Sedan continued BMW’s formula of a naturally aspirated inline-six performance sedan with sharper chassis tuning and wider bodywork. In the U.S., it remained part of the M3 lineup through the early 2000s. This generation was replaced by the E90-era M3 Sedan.
