General Motors has announced a $2.7 billion investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee factory to build electric vehicles. The investment, which will create 3,000 new jobs, is part of GM's wider commitment to invest $35 billion in electric and autonomous vehicles by 2025. The Spring Hill factory will be GM's third electric vehicle manufacturing site in the U.S.
