2016–2020 R172 (R172) facelift
3 modifications · The facelifted R172 adopted revised styling and the SLC name, continuing the same roadster architecture with updated equipment and powertrains. This phase is the one sold in the United States as the SLC300 and AMG SLC43. It remained on sale through the 2020 model year before the line was discontinued.

2011–2015 R172 (R172)
7 modifications · The R172 debuted globally as the second-generation SLK and was later renamed SLC after its facelift. It used a folding hardtop roadster layout and carried Mercedes-Benz’s compact luxury roadster role through the end of the model line. In the United States, this generation was sold as the SLC300 and AMG SLC43.
