The second-generation Sprinter introduced a new body and chassis for the global van line and became the basis for the U.S. Sprinter Passenger Van. In the United States, passenger versions were sold from the 2010 model year onward, with multiple wheelbase and roof configurations available. This phase established the modern Sprinter Passenger Van format before the 2014 facelift.
