2017–2024 W213 (W213)

19 modifications · The W213 E-Class launched in the U.S. for 2017 and continued the sedan, wagon, coupe, and convertible body-style strategy. It introduced a more digital interior and a new generation of four- and six-cylinder powertrains, plus AMG variants. The original phase ran through 2020 before the facelifted version began for 2021.

2014–2023 W212 (W212) facelift

33 modifications · The facelifted W212 E-Class arrived in the U.S. for 2014 with updated styling and revised model naming across the range. This phase continued through the 2016 model year for the sedan and wagon, while coupe and convertible variants remained available through 2017 in the U.S. market. It was replaced by the W213 generation for 2017.

2003–2013 W211 (W211)

13 modifications · The W211 E-Class launched in the U.S. for 2003 as the next-generation sedan and wagon. It brought a more modern chassis and electronics package, while AMG and diesel variants broadened the range during the generation. The original phase ran through 2006 before the facelifted version appeared for 2007.

2000–2009 W210 (W210) facelift

16 modifications · The facelifted W210 E-Class arrived in the U.S. for 2000 with updated exterior styling and revised equipment. U.S. availability continued through the 2002 model year for the core E-Class sedan and wagon lineup. This phase closed before the all-new W211 generation launched for 2003.

1994–1999 W124 (W124)

14 modifications · The E-Class nameplate reached the U.S. for 1994 on the final W124-based lineup, covering sedan, coupe, convertible, and wagon body styles. These cars carried over the traditional Mercedes executive-car formula before the all-new W210 E-Class arrived for 1996. U.S. sales ended after the 1995 model year for the W124 E-Class range.
