W124

The 500E was the high-performance V8 sedan developed jointly by Mercedes-Benz and Porsche on the W124 platform. It was sold in the United States for the 1992 and 1993 model years, where it became one of the most notable 500-badged Mercedes performance sedans. The model remained a W124-based four-door sedan throughout its short production run.
