The 350SD was the diesel-powered W116 S-Class sedan sold in the U.S. market. It used Mercedes-Benz’s 3.5-liter diesel engine and was part of the brand’s early effort to offer a luxury diesel sedan in America. Production ended before the W116 was replaced by the W126 S-Class.
