The 300SDL was the long-wheelbase diesel S-Class sold in the U.S. for 1986 and 1987 on the W126 chassis. It extended the diesel S-Class formula with a larger rear-seat package and remained a distinctive U.S.-market Mercedes-Benz diesel sedan.
