R170 facelift
The facelifted R170 SLK 230 received updated styling and equipment revisions while retaining the same compact roadster concept. Mercedes-Benz refreshed the first-generation SLK during its lifecycle, and the 230 remained part of the lineup in some markets. This facelift phase was sold in the United States as the SLK 230.
