2022–2024 WL (WL)

26 modifications · The current Grand Cherokee generation, WL, began for 2022 and brought a new platform and updated design. It is sold in the United States in two-row form, including 2WD and 4WD variants, and also as the three-row Grand Cherokee L. The plug-in hybrid 4xe joined the U.S. lineup during this generation.

2011–2021 WK2 (WK2)

26 modifications · The WK2 generation debuted for 2011 and represented a major update to the Grand Cherokee with a more refined interior and broader trim lineup. It was sold in the United States through the 2021 model year in standard two-row form, with 2WD and 4WD versions available. U.S. performance and specialty variants included SRT/SRT8 and Trackhawk models.

2005–2010 WK (WK)

12 modifications · The WK generation launched for 2005 and marked a major redesign of the Grand Cherokee. It remained on sale in the United States through 2010, with both 2WD and 4WD variants offered. This generation also introduced the high-performance SRT8 derivative in the U.S. market.

1999–2004 WJ (WJ)

7 modifications · The second-generation Grand Cherokee WJ arrived for 1999 with a redesigned body and updated chassis. It continued as a U.S.-market Jeep SUV through the 2004 model year. This generation broadened the model’s trim and drivetrain mix while keeping 2WD and 4WD versions available.

1993–1998 ZJ (ZJ)

10 modifications · The original Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ debuted for 1993 and established the model as Jeep’s larger, more upscale SUV. It was sold in the United States with both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Production of this first generation ended after the 1998 model year.
