2013–2020 Second generation (CD4)
21 modifications · The second-generation Ford Fusion arrived for the 2013 model year with a much more aerodynamic design and a new global midsize-car platform. In the U.S., it was offered with gasoline, hybrid, and Energi plug-in hybrid powertrains, and all-wheel drive remained available on selected trims. Ford kept this generation on sale through the 2020 model year.

2010–2012 First generation (CD3) facelift
11 modifications · For 2010, Ford gave the Fusion a significant facelift that refreshed the exterior and updated the interior and feature content. The revised model also broadened the lineup with hybrid and later plug-in hybrid derivatives, while continuing U.S. sales through the end of the first-generation run. This facelift phase carried the Fusion through the 2012 model year in the United States.

2006–2009 First generation (CD3)
12 modifications · The first-generation Ford Fusion debuted for the 2006 model year as Ford’s new midsize sedan for North America. It was sold in the United States with front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive, and it shared its basic architecture with the Mercury Milan and Lincoln Zephyr/MKZ. This generation established the Fusion nameplate in the U.S. market before a 2010 facelift updated the car’s styling and equipment.
