2017–present Third generation Super Duty (2017-present Super Duty)

8 modifications · Ford introduced the current Super Duty generation for 2017 with an aluminum-intensive body and a new frame, while keeping the F-250 in the heavy-duty pickup lineup. It remains on sale in the United States today.

2008–2010 First generation Super Duty (2008-2010 Super Duty) facelift

6 modifications · Ford revised the Super Duty line for 2008 with a refreshed front-end design and updated powertrain offerings. The F-250 continued in the U.S. as part of the same Super Duty generation through 2010.

1999–2016 First generation Super Duty (1999-2007 Super Duty)

6 modifications · The Super Duty F-250 debuted for 1999 as Ford’s new heavy-duty pickup line, separate from the F-150-based light-duty truck. It was sold in the U.S. as a pickup and chassis-cab model, and it established the modern F-250 Super Duty identity.

1997–1999 Tenth generation F-Series (1997-2003 F-Series)

7 modifications · For 1997, Ford split the F-250 name into the F-250 Light Duty, a truck closely related to the F-150 rather than the heavy-duty F-250 of earlier years. In the U.S. it was sold only briefly, through 1999, before being replaced by the new Super Duty F-250.

1987–1991 Eighth generation F-Series (1980-1986 F-Series) facelift

12 modifications · For 1987, Ford updated the eighth-generation F-Series with a revised front end and interior while keeping the same basic cab and frame architecture. The F-250 continued in the U.S. as a conventional full-size pickup and chassis-cab model through 1991.

1984–1997 Eighth generation F-Series (1980-1986 F-Series)

20 modifications · The 1984–1986 F-250 belonged to Ford’s eighth-generation F-Series, which carried over the 1980 body with incremental updates. It was sold in the United States as a full-size three-quarter-ton pickup in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive forms, along with cab-chassis variants.
