2008–2020 Fifth generation (RT)

9 modifications · The fifth-generation Caravan debuted for 2008 on Chrysler’s RT platform with a larger body and a more upright, utility-focused design. It continued as Dodge’s mainstream minivan in the U.S. and was sold alongside the Grand Caravan name in later years. This generation ran through the end of the Caravan nameplate in the U.S.

2001–2007 Third generation (NS) facelift

12 modifications · For 2001, the third-generation Caravan received a facelift with revised front-end styling and updated details. The underlying NS platform and overall minivan layout carried over, but the refreshed appearance distinguished this phase from the 1996–2000 version. It remained on sale in the U.S. through 2003.

1996–2007 Third generation (NS)

15 modifications · The third-generation Caravan debuted for 1996 on Chrysler’s new NS minivan platform. It brought a larger, more rounded body and remained a core U.S. family hauler. This generation also formed the basis for the later facelifted versions that followed.

1984–1995 First generation (AS)

7 modifications · The first Dodge Caravan launched for 1984 as one of the original Chrysler minivans and established the Caravan nameplate in the U.S. market. It was sold alongside the related Plymouth Voyager and Chrysler Town & Country, and the early lineup included both passenger and cargo-oriented variants. The Ram Van name continued separately on Dodge’s full-size van line during this era.

1984–2003 First generation (B-series)

3 modifications · Dodge’s Ram Van name was used on the full-size B-series van line, which was sold in the U.S. alongside the Caravan minivan family. These vans served commercial and passenger buyers and were distinct from the front-wheel-drive Caravan. The line ended after the 2003 model year in the United States.
