2017–2020 Sixth generation (RT)

3 modifications · The final U.S. Grand Caravan continued the RT-based minivan after the Caravan name had largely been phased out in the American market. It was sold as a value-oriented family minivan and remained a familiar Dodge nameplate through the end of U.S. production. This generation ended when Dodge discontinued the Grand Caravan in the United States.

2011–2016 Fifth generation (RT) facelift

13 modifications · The facelifted fifth-generation Caravan brought revised front-end styling and updated equipment while retaining the RT platform. In the U.S. market, this phase was sold as the Dodge Grand Caravan rather than the short-wheelbase Caravan. It remained on sale until the next-generation replacement arrived.

2008–2010 Fifth generation (RT)

5 modifications · The fifth-generation Caravan moved to a new RT platform and continued the model’s U.S. presence as Chrysler’s mainstream minivan. It was sold alongside the Grand Caravan name in North America and represented a substantial redesign over the RS generation. This phase ended before the 2011 facelift.

1996–2004 Third generation (NS)

6 modifications · The third-generation Caravan brought a major redesign with a larger, more aerodynamic body and a more modern interior. It was sold in the United States and expanded the minivan’s role as a family hauler. This generation ran through the late 1990s before being replaced by the fourth generation.

1991–2007 Second generation (AS) facelift

14 modifications · The second-generation Caravan continued the original front-wheel-drive minivan formula and carried the model through the early 1990s. This phase represents the facelifted version of the second generation, with updated styling and equipment. It remained part of the U.S. lineup until the next redesign.

1984–1990 First generation (AS)

6 modifications · The first Dodge Caravan launched the modern minivan era for Chrysler and established the Caravan nameplate in the U.S. market. It was sold as a short-wheelbase minivan and later received a mid-cycle update during its run. This generation ended before the second-generation redesign arrived.
