2011–2020 5th generation (RT) facelift

12 modifications · The facelifted fifth-generation Caravan/Grand Caravan brought revised styling and equipment updates for the 2011 model year. This phase is the best-known late-run U.S. Grand Caravan configuration and continued through the end of U.S. production. It remained on sale until the Grand Caravan nameplate ended in the U.S. after the 2020 model year.

2008–2010 5th generation (RT)

5 modifications · The fifth-generation Caravan/Grand Caravan launched for 2008 on Chrysler’s RT platform with a new body and updated powertrain and interior packaging. In the U.S., the Grand Caravan remained the primary passenger version while the Caravan C/V continued as a commercial-oriented variant for part of the run. This generation was later updated by a facelift phase and remained the basis of the final U.S.-market Grand Caravan years.

1996–2007 3rd generation (NS)

10 modifications · The third-generation Caravan launched for 1996 with a major redesign and a new cab-forward minivan body. It continued the C/V and Grand Caravan roles in the U.S. and expanded the model’s refinement, safety, and interior packaging. This generation remained on sale through 2000 before a further redesign for 2001.

1994–1995 2nd generation (ES) facelift

8 modifications · A facelifted version of the second-generation Caravan family appeared for the 1994 model year with revised exterior styling and updated details. The underlying ES body code remained in use, but the refreshed look distinguished this later phase from the original 1991-1993 version. This facelift phase continued through the end of the generation in 1995 in the U.S. market.

1984–1995 1st generation (AS)

5 modifications · The original Dodge Caravan family launched for 1984 on Chrysler’s front-wheel-drive minivan platform and established the Caravan nameplate as one of the first modern minivans. It was sold in the United States as both passenger-oriented Caravan variants and commercial C/V configurations depending on trim and equipment. This first generation ran through the 1990 model year before being replaced by a redesigned van for 1991.
