The first-generation Chevrolet Venture launched for the 1997 model year as Chevrolet’s minivan entry in the U-body family. It was sold in the United States and offered primarily as a front-wheel-drive minivan, with all-wheel-drive availability appearing later in the run. The Venture served through the 2005 model year before being replaced by the Chevrolet Uplander.
