It was sold in the United States for the 2005 through 2007 model years and shared its basic mechanical package with the Optra sedan. Chevrolet marketed it as a more versatile compact alternative with a rear liftgate and split-folding cargo utility.

It reached the U.S. market for the 2005 through 2007 model years and offered the same compact-car underpinnings with expanded cargo space. Like the sedan and hatchback, it was a short-lived Chevrolet compact sold during the mid-2000s.

2004–2007 J200 (J200)
6 modifications · The Chevrolet Optra sedan was the U.S. name for the compact J200-based model derived from the Daewoo Lacetti. It was sold in the United States for the 2004 through 2007 model years as a small four-door sedan positioned below Chevrolet's larger midsize offerings. The U.S. market version was part of Chevrolet's brief attempt to offer an import-based compact car under the Chevrolet badge.
