The first Chevrolet Epica debuted in 2004 as a global mid-size sedan developed by GM Daewoo. It used the V250 body code and was positioned as a comfortable, front-wheel-drive family car with four-cylinder and six-cylinder engine options depending on market. This original phase was not sold new in the United States.
